The Long-nosed Potoroo is a hopping marsupial, which has been described as a 'miniature kangaroo'. It is found along the east coast of Australia, populations are said to be higher in Tasmania because of the absence of foxes. These little mammals are listed as vulnerable because of habitat loss, cats and foxes.  They like to forage for fungi especially truffles and mushrooms.
